Life @ Penjuru

Penjuru is where my office is situated. It's in the west, somewhere near boon lay industrial estate. It's hidden behind a reservoir and not many people would have heard of it (unless you have customers whose offices/warehouses are in this region). There're blocks of warehouses and factories. Large vehicles such as containers, trucks and trailers ply the roads in Penjuru. Some old factories have weeds growing all over the outer walls. Not exactly a glam place to work in.

My company rents a warehouse space in a particular building along Penjuru Rd and my office is smack in a corner of the warehouse. You'll get to see lotsa of different characters as they go about each day's activities. Forklift drivers who speed around with pallets of goods, thinking that they're driving ferraris. Production girls giggling like little girls as they make their way to the common washroom located outside the warehouse unit. Storemen chain smoking along the staircases and smoke stands staring at girls with their X-ray vision. Truck/Container drivers trying to maneuver their vehicles into a tight parking lot while trying to avoid smashing into the row of parked cars. Smart looking sales people popping by to discuss business.

It's an interesting place to work in if you look beyond the dirt and grim. Have offered a different perspective of my working environment instead of my usual complaints. haahaa... read a friend's blog lately in which she mentioned about trying to look at things from a different angle. It's quite refreshing to see what one can find. :)
