BRAZIL IS THE WORLD CUP CHAMPION!!!!!!! it was such an exciting match! i was glued to the tv screen, watching very intensely. brazil had around 3-4 chances at goals but missed. it was only in the 2nd half that ronaldo managed to kick 2 goals for brazil, clinching the world cup for the country. the germans were very disappointed. the two goalkeepers of of each country expressed totally conflicting expressions on their faces. germany's goalkeeper seemed to be very upset and in despair. germany, you've fought well. try hard next year in your home ground!

turkey won 3-2! whoooaaa.......the 1st goal from turkey was very amazing. in fact, i think nobody expected it and everyone was kinda too shocked to react. it happened in the 1st 10 seconds of the match! the korean defence was very bad tonight. they fought hard but still didn't managed to make it. anyway, i'm happy turkey won! hiak...

ooo...tomorrow's the big day for korea and turkey for 3rd placing in the world cup. sunday's match is much anticipated.

one of my friends changed his homepage blog layout...looks so cool in blue. (wah..it rhymes) been a tiring day for me....got up very early to go to school to teach. came home, watched a little tv and fell asleep. i didn't know i was asleep for such a long time till my handphone rang. realised it's already dinner time! yikes!

bought myself 3 boxes of willy wonka's gobstoppers...one of my fave sweets. they last a long time in your mouth and it has a chewy center. yum yum.......

brazil won!!! (err....kinda expected) they had lots of chances at goals but often overshot or deflected. whoo whoo...the finals are gonna be exciting indeed!!! germany vs brazil in the yokohama stadium in japan. really dunno who would win....i just can't guess. sounds a little cliche but may the best team wins! :) looking forward to that match on sunday evening.

was a little half dazed early in the morning as i walked into school. i saw some of my ex-class students during their recess. chatted with some of them after school. they were complaining about the new teacher being very strict and fierce. well, it's for the good of them so i hope they would learn something out of it and become better people.

GERMANY WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the match between korea and germany was exciting indeed. there were a few nail-biting moments when either side was near their opponent's goalposts. phew!! i know it's kinda weird of me to support germany coz i'm an asian...but since everyone is supporting korea, might as well support germany. hiak hiak....... they finally won 1-0. oh yeah! tomorrow would be another match to watch....brazil vs turkey.....

last friday's match between brazil and england was very exciting. in fact, many guys took leave to watch the match 'live' on tv. it was a big match and brazil turned out victorious with a 2-1 win. england played well but probably they just lack the luck. next week would be 2 semi finals.....brazil vs turkey and korea vs germany. who would be the last two in the finals? hmm.....lots of pple commented that it's kelong that korea managed to get so far. well, i alwiz say korea must have prayed a lot and moreover it's their home ground.

been watching vcds and reading novels lately. school has started today and all the kids and teenagers are off the streets and back in school. good news for me...coz 1) i get to work so there would be some income and 2) streets would have lesser people so i can shop around more freely. i would be starting work only next week as the contract teacher for that class is still around. if there are any mcs this week, i would be called back to school as well.

got news that my friend had an accident last week. fortunately none of her vital organs were injured. hey friend, i would pray hard for you that you would recover very soon!! Get well soon!!!!

watched the movie "scooby doo" with my friend this evening. it's a very hilarious show!! i miss the cartoon series i watched when i was young. the animated scooby doo was very real and had that signature chuckle! so ultra cute...... moreover the movie stars two of my fave hollywood actors>> real life couple freddie pinze jnr and sarah michelle gellar! gosh...i could go on and on about this movie..

managed to catch the last 20 mins of the world cup match of korean and italy. it was soo exciting! italy was leading 1-0, then at the 88th min, korea got a goal! wah...u can feel the loud cheers of guys bringing the roof of heeren down. everyone's rooting for the only asian team left in the world cup. go korea go!!!!!

been busy watching my latest japanese vcd set "antique". it's a comedy about 4 guys and a cake shop that's called "antique". most parts of the drama are rather hilarious. i prefer watching such genres instead of the purely romance one.

haven't bought my computer yet. still looking thru brochures and checking out best deals here and there. most probably getting a DIY set from sim lim sq. i really can't wait to apply for broadband. i could watch movies, download songs, download mtvs, play neopets...etcetc....possibilities are endless.

reading a lot of storybooks lately. went to the library last week and got myself 6 novels to read. it's mostly romantic comedies....couldn't find any of my usual authors' thrillers as i've finished reading all of theirs.

world cup fever is getting hotter and hotter until the internet server is affected. logging on in the late afternoon and at night is very terrible!! everything loads very slowly and moreover i'm on 56k modem. phew!! hope the world cup ends fast!

england won argentina!! tho i'm not a soccer fan, i would root for england in this exciting match. i could hear the crowds cheering from the community centre near my house.

went to a computer fair at expo....was very tempted to buy a computer on the spot as i found a good deal. unfortunately after consulting a few friends, they told me acer wasn't good, so i dropped the idea. acer has the best deal tho. haiz. i brought a few brochures back to compare the specifications and let my friends have a look to see which deal is the best. the fair was pretty crowded. many people were buying scanners and printers. how i wish i have the cash to buy the best computer and whatever high tech products i wanted.

went shopping yesterday but didn't managed to get anything. just wanted to go out for a walk and to meet up with a friend. i've not linked this website to my homepage yet. i'm thinking of changing some parts of my homepage after tinkering with a new program called swish 2.0. it's similar to flash but much easier to use. there's no need for frame to frame manipulation. just a few clicks of the mouse and a simple animation is complete.

reading a book by victoria corby entitled 'something stupid'. it's the cutesy type of book about romance. think i still prefer jane green and sarah harvey's style of writing. placed another two reservations for jane green's books online for the library. it's so difficult to get her books off the shelves in the libraries coz there're so few copies around.

shall rot the rest of the day away....lazy tuesday afternoon...

finished watching 'winter sonata' yesterday. the ending was so sad yet touching. i could feel tears in my eyes as i watched the last vcd. i recommend everyone to watch this drama tho it's quite long winded. the scripwriter is very on and can think of the amount of 'tortures' for the lead actors and actresses.

updated my homepage yesterday as well...today i added in some more graphics of flowers. this month's theme is based on flowers and i've chosen lavender and sunflower. perhaps some time down the road, i would feature other types of flowers.

the world cup fever is on! the community centre near my house has a large screen tv in the badminton court for all to enjoy. this morning, there was a street soccer competition at another void deck. think the organisers are trying to get everyone into the world cup fever.

at long last, i'm at the 2nd last vcd of winter sonata, a korean drama serial. it's the first time i'm watching such a long drama on vcd and a foreign one too. thought of giving it a try after hearing a good review from a friend of mine. each vcd is at least an hour long and there were quite a few comments about korean dramas being very draggy and long winded. even my sister is amazed at my patience for sitting through 18 discs!!

i pity the actors and actresses who have to brawl their eyes out every now and then throughout the drama serial. disc 18 seems to be the highest point in the movie where all emotions are let off. i can imagine my friend who watched the drama already hugging her box of kleenex and sniffing till her eyes turn red. fortunately, i'm not one of those who would cry my heart out when watching a movie/show. seems kinda embarrassing eh?
