temptations...

my colleague brought his new DSLR Nikon D80 to the office to let me tinker around. it's damn shiok to hold a solid DSLR in your hands. i'm not very familiar with the various buttons and knobs but it does make me feel damn pro for a moment. haha! i've been contemplating if i should get a DSLR but currently i feel that i'm not up to the mark yet. i've not grasped the basics of photography and am still trying to improve my skills with my canon powershot s3.

with the recent introduction of cheaper and cheaper entry level DSLRs, many pns consumers are converting to DSLR users. there are pros and cons for such a conversion. some of the people dunno what they're getting to coz buying a DSLR would start a BBB virus (buy buy buy). it's a never ending cycle to keep on upgrading, getting new lens and more filters. it's gonna be an expensive hobby, that's partly y i'm putting it on hold too. cannot afford to play with such gadgets. if i have the choice (and $$), i'm deciding between the canon 450D and nikon D80. so far the D80 seems to be a better choice than the canon 450D.

at the beginning of this yr, i told myself i cannot buy any electronic gadgets for 2008 coz last yr i've gotten myself some toys. now i'm just hoping that my mobile phone doesn't die on me coz it's behaving quite cranky at times. the best part is, samsung has just released a iphone lookalike and it's super tempting to change to that phone! starhub is offering super good deal at just $299 (with a higher plan)!! the normal retail price of that phone is more than $1k! shucks....it all boils down to $$$$$$$.

better start saving more $$ in case i ever feel very itchy hands and wanna grab that phone or DSLR!

Sex and the City

just got home after watchin the movie 'Sex and the City'. It was very hilarious and had a happy ending! (oopps, did i mention any spoilers??) anyway, do catch the show if u have the chance. it brings back memorise of my days in perth. it was the only show i would bother to go home on time to catch it on tv (well, i do try to get home on time for a few eps!).

don't worry if u can't remember the previous storyline for SATC as the producers did a brief recap in the intro bit. the movie's slightly more than 2 hrs. i didn't find it long coz i was thoroughly enjoying the jokes and anticipating what's coming up next for each of the female leads.

wonderful movie....it's R21 so do expect some interesting 'bits'... :)
