a winner is born

around 2pm this afternoon, got a call from my cousin, saying i got the job. initially i tot it was a job as i was half asleep from the heavy lunch. turns out it's true! yeah baby!! i emerged as the winner in the race even tho i joined the race late....soo happy!

however, i got a bit of mixed feelings also. y? coz i dunno how to tell my mgr. put it this way, my mgr and i share good working r/ship. we do share our personal life also and i feel we're somewhat like frens instead of just boss and subordinate. well, guess it's time to move on, it's time to go. so i've to be cruel and just do it, for the sake of my future happiness.

anyway, time to fret over my wardrobe!! need to get jackets, lose more weight and load up on makeup. heehee

glimmer of hope

on monday late afternoon, got a call from cycle and carriage regarding the post i applied for. was soo glad to hear my cousin's voice. at least i still stand a chance in this fight for the position even tho i was late in application. according to her, they like my down to earth attitude and that they find some potential in me.

this afternoon, i met up with the gm and marketing mgr for an "informal" interview. basically it's for them to find out more about me. i would say it's not a bad interview. at least both of them are rather smiley today (prob coz they had lunch). came out with a rather good feeling. whether i get the job or not depends on fate, luck and GOD. hope GOD bless me and lets me get it. i wanna get out of the madhouse soon!! dun wanna serve those bloody Hopeless Pricks!!

this evening, one Hopeless Prick called to butter my mgr. i think that Prick kena buttered by his own boss and decided to vent his frustrations on us. siao one loh..bo dai bo ji (nothing better to do) then come and yell at us. come on la, our parents dun give birth to us so that Hopeless Pricks can make our lives miserable. they're crazy loh...sending them to Woodbridge would be a waste of space. should just send them into exile.

anyway, tmr hv to drag myself back to office again. hv to go on time coz they got some tracking methods to check the time u step into work. also, big shots appear at random lately due to the launch of a new project.

big big hole in my pocket

initally wanted to trim my hair only...but ended up highlighting it as well. must agree that the effect is rather good. it's copper blonde. it enhances the current hair colour i've. not bad..:) just nice for the 2 weddings i would be attending in sep.

later went to buy some vitamins as GNC is having some promo. burnt another hole in the pocket. been spending a lot this month. few hundreds just gone like that. moreover i still need to set aside $200 for my jap lessons which would start in mid sep. money forever not enough!!

rainy day...

been raining for the past few days. welcome relief to the heat wave earlier on i suppose. going for my spa this afternoon @ chinatown. first time going for spa...gongong one. hahahaa...really like mountain tortoise.

yesterday's interview was quite ok. i dont hv too high hopes for it but i just tired my best. was given a ralliart ad and 2 qns to ans based on the ad. it was mainly asking abt branding and to come up with a new ad for ralliart. hope my ans are satisfactory to them. only can hope for the best....

clothes maketh the man

had a steamboat lunch @ my colleague's house. turned out it was to celebrate her bday. soo pai say, never get anything for her. luckily bought durian puffs to share. it was super duper ultra filling! there was a huge spread of food such as sotong, fish balls, sotong balls, different sorts of veggies, crab stick, hot dogs, etcetc. yummy indeed.

after that lunch, i went shopping with my fren @ orchard. needed to get some formal wear clothes for the interview. found a nice jacket and pants @ metro, paragon. the pants made my legs look slimmer. felt in love with it. almost wanted to buy the set ($118) but decided to come home to try out my jacket first. (silly me, didn't try the jacket I had at home first b4 going out to look for clothes) obviously the sales girl wasn't too pleased coz she brought a lot of clothes for me to try on.

the jacket's rather unique and i'm pretty tempted to buy it ultimately. hmmm..temptation temptation. today i'm amazed at my willpower. i refrained from eating chocolate biscuits and sweets even tho i was craving for snacks. i gave into a packet of medium fries from maccers as my dinner. have to seriously do something about my weight. i can do it! i can do it!

ralliart, here i come!

shld be getting an interview with ralliart. i'm soooooo excited! the job scope is what i wanna...marketing / promotional events,brand building,etc.

doing some homewk online regarding ralliart and whatever other info i can find. luckily i'm into cars, else i think i would be very very blur. need to brush up on some technical knowledge and think of ways to promote the brand ralliart. need to tie ralliart with mitsubishi. gonnna ask around for ideas from frens, esp those car crazy ones. hopefully they can throw me good suggestions coz they would noe best!

need to dress formally for the interview too. gotta wear jacket. aiyah, so many things to worry about. i just hope for the best! pray hard i get the job...!

as heavy as an elephant

i've decided to buy a weighing scale in order to scare myself into losing weight. went to watsons and bought the digital weighing scale. went home, stepped on it and almost jumped off the scale immediately. can't believe my eyes when i saw the weight. it has been a long time since i last stepped onto a weighing scale...and i noe i've put on weight...but...but...

in short, it's time to intensify the exercise routine and cut down further more on my diet. must push myself harder.

pain pain :'(

kena gastric...terrible feeling. stomach is soo bloated. been feeling pukey but nothing comes out. taken my medication. wanna sleep but stomach area very uncomfortable. haiz...

shall take this chance to rest well at home...this weekend mite be called back to work. (what else is new??)

quick update

the swaku me finally went to ladies night for the first time. my fren and i went to thumper @ goodwood park hotel. the free flow of drinks was for 4 types of vodka, namely lime, orange, ribena and cranberry. we were there for slightly more than 1.5hrs and downed 5 glases of vodka. afterwards, we didn't really walk in a straight line. hahahaa...luckily i didn't drive that night.

yest (sat) went to esplanade bridge to catch the 1st of spore fireworks festival. not many fanciful patterns were on the show. a bit disappointing. waited for almost 2hrs to get a prime spot at the bridge before the actual show started. luckily it was rather windy.

there is currently typhoon in taiwan. managed to catch my fren who's in taiwan touring now online on thurs. things seemed fine except for the constant rain. hope she'll be ok. gonna pick her up this coming monday night. heehee...my mua chee will be here soon....

happy happy day

sometimes it's amazing how someone just pop by and brighten up ur day. today was another typical idle day in the office (the mad rush for quarter end was over). trying to think of ways of how to spend time. mood was slightly below average coz a fren of mine was feelin down and very stressed up. trying to think of ways to cheer her up.

in the mid afternoon, one of my engineers came down for FAI. he's the better looking ones among the engrs (but too bad he's MARRIED!!) anyway, he doesn't really tok much. even if we do, it's mainly about work. however, today i could sense that he was more chatty and in a very good mood.

we had a nice chat during the FAI besides just work itself. he was telling me about the insufficient storage his creative zen micro mp3 player has, coz he has around 8gb of songs on his computer. then we talked abt downloading movies from websites...etcetc. it was soo fun. i had this big grin on my face for the rest of the day. heehee >__<

after talking to him, my mood was instantly much much better. hahaha... this evening went to IMM with my dad, spotted Gima sensei (my e1 jap teacher). he greeted me with a flurry of jap and i was too stunned to respond. i think he must be really disappointed that i couldnt reply him, or even greet him. goodness....my jap really sucks BIG time.
