my dad decided to send the cockatoo to the jurong bird park yesterday morning. i bid farewell to the bird the night before. hope it will have a much better life at the bird park. now it does feel kinda odd, not seeing a white bird sitting on my kitchen window's grills. guess i'll miss it quite a while............

PARK YONG HA IS ULTRA HANDSOME AND CUTE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

went for the z pop concert yesterday evening. it was pouring rain before the start of the concert and the group of us wanted to give up going there. luckily the rain stopped at the start of the concert. there was a huge crowd and more people swamped the padang as the night went on. the 'bigger' celebrities like tension, park yong ha, chen xiao dong were placed the last few items in order to keep the people there.

some of the acts were quite boring. however, once evonne xu hui xin came out, the crowd started to surge forward. from there on, it was a matter of how u shove and tip toe in order to get the best view. i was interested to see park yong ha , the star in winter sonata. it's the first time a korean star flew into spore. when he went on stage, the crowd went wild !! he was sooo shy !! think he must have been overwhelmed.

after his act, my sister and i went to the backstage exit in hope to catch him leaving. after a few mins, he walked out, with 2 lines of security. luckily there were only a few people waiting at the back, so i got a really close up view of him! he was very shy, mostly looking at the floor but did give a smile. when he got into the bus, he was waving to all that were standing outside. such a nice guy..........

i admire people who can write well and express themselves through words. it ain't easy learning how to write descriptively and creatively, and i feel that it's partly due to some sort of an inborn talent. i wish i can write like them, to express myself through words and also photos/pictures. hvn't had the time to go around taking photos lately. been staying late quite often at work. think i need to read up on photography books to get more ideas and to look around me for more inspiration.

it's finally the weekend and i'm so thankful i do not have to work tomorrow. seems like a long time since i had a sat off. will be going down to the padang for the z-pop concert to catch my korean drama idol 'park yong ha' on sat evening. one of the airlines is the major sponsor for the program so we got free tickets ! heehee.......heard all the tickets are 'sold out' (aorund 20,000). think it would be a huge crowd tomorrow. too bad we cannot bring cameras around, else I can try to snap some pics with my cybershot.

attended a 2 day course in basic microsoft excel. actually, i know a little, just need some refreshing. anyway, i learnt nothing from the course at all. the part time trainer sucked big time!!! she's nervous, dunno how to teach, dunno what to teach, can't ans our questions...etcetc. basically, it took her 2 hours to teach us how to open & close an excel worksheet and to do simple data entry. can faint !!! in fact some of my colleagues know much more than her. my my, it's a wonder if she doesn't wanna dig a hole and hide her face. buay tahan !!

my computer got infected with the blaster.worm virus. hvn't been online for a few days. partly due to the late nights i've been staying in the office. quite thankful i would be on course for the next 2 days. at least i can put work aside for a while.

trying to catch up with my reading lately. picking up some chinese short stories (san wen) to read. also bought myself candace branshaw's latest book 'trading up'. she's also the author of 'sex and the city'. read the first few chapters of it...quite humorous.

just read about the passing of a blogger's dad. my condolences to you jasmin. you've written very beautifully about your dad and i'm sure he'll live close in your heart forever.
