so far the week has been good for me...cross my fingers and hope that tml will fly by smoothly!! am looking fwd to my sentosa stayover this weekend. soo excited! hiak hiak....been quite a while since i've last been to a chalet. hope the weather's gonna be good. counting down the days to sentosa............

looking thru the various entries for this week's theme 'overlooked' in photofriday.com it's interesting to see how many pple have different interpretations of that word. it's also wonderful to see how pple can express themselves thru photos ........ m thinking of what i can take in order to portray the feeling over being overlooked.

friday is finally here....my long awaited break.....fortunately i could leave early today......so my wkend just managed to earn an 'extra' hour or so. went out with fren for dinner.....

watching the final episode of american idol 2 as i'm typing this blog. tho i oredi noe the results (from online posts), i still wanna catch it as the feeling would be different from just reading it off the internet.

quite refreshed today on my way to work, prob coz i had to stand for quite some time before i managed to get a seat on the mrt train. enjoying my TIME and NEWSWEEK magazines. so happens my NEWSWEEK comes with free one yr's subscription to Women's Weekly, so i've got lotsa things to keep me occupied on my long journey to work.

m also reading the award winning 'the life of Pi'. trying to appreciate literary works and the underlying meaning it's trying to convey. really think my standard of english is dropping drastically. need to keep reading and writing in order to improve and to learn more.

hope the weekend comes really soon....need a well deserved break! gonna catch 'matrix reloaded' this sat. so far the reviews hasn't been good except for the special effects. actually, that's the only thing i'm looking out for....as the storyline is not easy to catch. hope it wun disappoint me!

m so sleepy today i almost dozed off while driving to work. not a very safe thing to do. luckily i had some bread (meant for breakfast) and was munching it on my way to work in order to keep myself awake. left on the dot today as i just couldn't concentrate on work. too tired..... dunno what happened to me. just feeling very exhausted today. in fact, i'm gonna sleep after typing this blog.

saw photos of my uni classmate's baby girl. she looks sooooooo adorable!! she'll surely grow up into a beautiful lady. the happy family is residing in perth now. shall pop by their place if i go back to perth for a visit. think by then the little girl would have grown a lot. :)

the heat is killing me! it's soo hot it feels like i'm sleeping in an oven or o top of a stove instead of my bed. i toss and turn the whole night even with the fan on at full blast. the wind that comes from the fan is also warm. phew! dragged all my stuff into my parents' room and slept on the floor in aircon comfort. felt so tired at work on fri as i didn't have a good night's rest. last night was equally warm.....wonder where the sudden heat wave come from?

on my way home to and from work on the mrt today, snippets of my perth life floated in my mind. it's like walking through a movie set where i see various scenes and parts of my life. the many familiar places like northbridge, henry lawson walk, mill point, point walter, fremantle, sunset drive......makes me wanna buy an air ticket and go back there !! miss my days there...........miss the freedom there.........

just read abt subaru rally driver possum bourne's death from the rally australia website. he had a car crash in nz when he was preparing for a race. his family decided to switch off the life support system on 30th april as his brain injuries were too severe to recover. he's survived by his wife and 3 very young children. it's such a big loss to the rallying team subaru. he has won several championships throughout his lifetime. you can read more about his obituary from the web if you do a yahoo search. one example is http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20030430/ap_on_sp_au_ra_ne/car_obit_bourne_1.

went for a buffet at trader's hotel with my jc frens. the food's not bad and we had a further 25% discount as one of my frens used DBS credit card to foot the bill. feeling bloated till now. saved my money for breakfast, lunch and dinner! haha

watched x men 2...it's FANTASTIC, INCREDIBLY SUPERB and MARVELLOUS!!!!!! really like that movie a lot. waiting in anticipationg for x men 3!! the special effects were great and there was more character development. next up for me would be matrix reloaded, followed by charlies' angels full throttle...... ooohh....

the free parking along changi beach is getting worse after national parks start clamping down on illegal parking. so sickening ! not as if those pple are blocking the way or obstructing traffic. think govt just wanna make some more money. it's a $50 fine if you're caught parking illegally. as a result, pple are forced to come earlier and earlier to park in the proper lots. it's terrible!! i was at my usual car park at 7.30am this morning and it was full! usually that car park will be full around 7.40am. i had to drive 4 car parks down the road in order to find a lot. the worse part is that the carpark can be quite dark after sunset. it doesn't look safe but i don't have much of choice.

am trying to get a season parking lot inside the air freight centre but it ain't easy. wish me luck !

gave in to the temptation of buying sun yanzi's latest mtv vcd 'to be continued'. finished watching it....she filmed full length mtvs for 4 tracks and the rest are a mixture of her 'live' concert in taiwan and various shots. think it's probably pointless and too costly to shoot full length mtvs for all songs on the new album, as some of them are not hits. as usual, for her albums, u need to listen to it a couple of times and appreciate the flavour. i like most of the songs on her new album...quite different from her usual style.

burnt a cd of my fave songs ! so excited...shall listen it on my way to work everyday! heehee....won't get tired of it. I wanted to put in some more songs but the cd is full. just hv to make do with it. 21 songs in all....and all my fave...including english and chinese songs (such as sheryl crow's soak up the sun, jay zhou's jian dan ai, lee hom's bu yao hai pa, kylie's can't get you out of my head)

went to sim lim to get some more cd-rs and realised that majority of it are 40x speed. i wonder if it refers to the read or write speed. it's soo fast! my com's only 32x read and 12x write...kinda slow for a new com. guess i had better buy more of the lower speed blacnk cd-rs else i won't be able to get them in the near future !

the weekend seems to zoom by really quickly. it looks like a gloomy sunday morning but it's rather windy. this type of weather is perfect for lazing in the bed. however, i just can't lie there too long else i'll get a headache. might as well get up and log on since there's nothing much on telly.

my playstation has been left untouched for some time. think it's turning into dark grey with the amt of dust on it. prob should take it out and play crash bandicoot racing. might as well dig out the rest of my games and play them thru ! that sounds fun...... nowadays more and more game consols are appearing on the shelves. the most widely advertised is the x-box. the graphics look real cool ! once the game consol goes out of date, it's quite hard to find games for it. that's the sad part. nowadays i often see games for ps2. ps seems to have disappeared into the background.

still dreaming abt my game boy advanced sp. got no chance to look at the real thing yet.

had a great buffet at mariotts hotel. ate 5 oysters ! :P luckily we managed to get a seat tho we were on the waiting list. the reservations started since march! scary.....

on my way home, a girl who sat beside me was happily chatting with her fren on her handphone. she was gushing abt the day's activities and sharing all the fun gossips with her fren. how nice it is to have a frenw hom u can gush all the daily gossips and happenings to. i must admit i'm a very talkative person, esp after coming back from oz. i think it's fun to share what's going on with each other and the latest happenings among other frens. oh no, i sound like a gossip monger eh? no lar...i'm not that bad. hahahahaha......

think that girl studied in oz before as she kept saying 'no worries' (an aussie slang for no problem) and she was comparing oz with spore. i think many grads from overseas have this problem. i must say i'm one of them too. my oz uni frens and i often compared oz with spore. it's not that we love to complain about spore, just that it's really a totally different kind of lifestyle. like wat one of my fren said, those who didn't go overseas to study won't be able to understand. i think it's quite true.
