feeling kinda nostalgic tonight...missing the days in perth. miss the fresh air, the friendly aussies, the freedom, the food, the walks, the trips to 24 hrs drive thrus, red rooster, grocery shopping, late night shopping, the fun and tears i shared with my uni friends...etc etc...

had a sudden urge to drink english breakfast tea. it's one of the first teas i've learnt to drink when i was there. it has a nice fragrance and the aftertaste is not very strong as compared to earl grey. i've obtained my driving license in perth. i went pubbing and clubbing in perth. i've learnt to tolerant the smell of cigarette smoke in perth. i've seen many things in perth which i wouldn't normally see in singapore (eg. the round around the hostel's quadrangle in nude contest). it's also the place where i grew up and become a more sensible and matured person.

i miss the craziness and the silly things my frens and i used to do over there. life wasn't all that interesting and exciting (as you prob know, all shops close at 5pm daily except thu and fri) but time flew and soon it was the day we had to drag ourselves back to spore.

going back there again would be a whole different feeling. i'm no longer a student and i can't afford to stay there as long as i want (due to the limited amt of leave i have). the feeling once lost, it's hard to get it back again........

i miss perth..............

been rather busy lately, that explains the lack of entries inbetween since the beginning of the month. lotsa new mobiles coming out in the market....the samsung x-430 is a slim and slick mms enabled phone. nokia's 7200 is a phone with a fashion statement as it has interchangeable fabric covers. technology is advancing so fast , we can never catch up with it.

yesterday evening at baker's inn (plaza singapura), my frens and i saw a few groups of youngsters parading and comparing their electronic gadgets. digital cameras, digital slrs, palms, mac ibook, laptops, camera mobile phones...u name it, they probably have it. sometimes i wonder, is there a need for so many gadgets? also, isn't it a bit heavy to lug so many stuff around and there's also a fear that someone just grab your bag and run away? the cost of such gadgets ain't small either.

i dream to have the latest gadgets to play with, but in reality, it's not practical. i've got a black and white palm (courtesy of a lucky draw) and i don't have much use for it. (besides storing people's names and addresses) i'm looking out for deals on a digital SLR as i think i'm quite ready to take the next step into photography. need to save up a lot! it's a very expensive hobby to get myself into. :)

finished reading 'the big bad wolf'. it ended with a cliff hanger and i'm sure james patterson's fans are eagerly awaiting the next instalment.

went to watch 'stuck on you' just now. a hilarious movie about a pair of conjoined twins who share a liver. realised that there are many "kids" hanging around plaza singapura. some of them are pretty rowdy and loud. can't really stand them. then again, i think i was like them when i was in jc too...hahaha....

yet another long weekend for me. mon's a public hol as hari raya haji happens to fall on sun. good chance to take a longer break. feeling quite bored. deciding where to go today...later in the evening i've got a gathering at my colleague's house. my pri sch fren who migrated to SYD is on her way to SIN in the plane now. will most prob catch up with her tomorrow else i don't hv much free time left.

my long awaited james patterson novel 'the big bad wolf' is finally here!!! i'm a third of the way through. it's a compulsive page turner! i just stopped for a short while to take a break before continuing with the story. there're only a few authors which can make me read almost non-stop till i finish the book.
