yeah, it's finally chinese new year eve! got my new year bonus yesterday, everyone was smiling at the atm machine. getting prepared for the coming year, afterall it's my year! (opps, i revealed my age). hope everyone will be prosperous and happy. all the best to everyone in the coming year.

my fren got me a reallllllliiii cuteeee pooh chinese new year mini banner from taiwan and i've stuck in on my glass cabinet. also got a sun yan zi endorsed coffee brand's empty cup from her. shall use it in my new office when we move in a few months.

down with a fever today....could hardly work. came home and went to the docs. tml on mc....can rest. however, thinking of the amount of work i've gotta clear on thurs, i dun feel good. aiyah, that one think later......must enjoy my day off tml and hopefully i recover really soon.

so thankful that a hectic week has gone by. it has been a crazy week for me. was quite stressed out. pimples are becoming a permanent feature on my face given the stressful job nature. so tired out by the week's work that i don't feel like stepping out today.

ended up going to grandma's house in the afternoon. she's so excited about the coming weekend (chinese new year) as she wants to see all her children and grandchildren when they come visiting. can tell by the look on her face. she's a nice old lady and a very generous one too. wish her a long long life that's healthy and prosperous !!

glad that the latest mary higgins clark book that i reserved from the lib is available for collection tomorrow. got a new book to read!! her books are great. am still on the waiting list for james patterson's latest novel....think should be around queue 18 by now. hopefully i can get his book soon!! waiting in eager anticipation........

passed my LATAM (latin american) test!! yahooooo !! am one of those among my colleagues who took the shortest time to complete. everyone in my company, esp customer service has to complete the test. my mgr told me HKG office will issue a cert upon completion of the test. :)

yesterday went to JB to cut my hair. sadly i couldn't cut it as short as i wanted due to my face shape. my face is too round liao. hv cut my hair much layered and coloured it mahogany copper. hiak... got some good comments at work today. according to my colleageus, i dun look so square and serious. that's good news !!! just the effect i wanna create. look younger and more funky. hahahahaa.......

had lunch with 2 former sec frens this afternoon. one of them is on attachment with sia eng co, while the other is a perm staff at sia airline house. it's a rare opportunity to have good frens working in the same area. since my frens is going to be on attachment for 6 months, think we'll try to meet up for lunch weekly or fortnightly.

too lazy and tired to bother about my homepage today. been doing it for the past few nights. dunno what else to change in my homepage......also not very good with the software, hence i cannot come up with anything nice even tho i got the design in my head.

just got news that one of my uni classmates is pregnant. so happy for her! she's married to a vietnamese guy and is residing in perth now. can't imagine she would settle down...she's a very funky, ultra friendly and creative girl. now she's already starting a family. wish her all the best in her new family life and for the little baby girl !! :)

back to work on a mon. having the blues since sun evening. fortunately it wasn't a busy day for me. still had some time to idle. everyone was gone by 6.30pm except me as i was on duty till 7pm. regretted not bringing my palm along to play games. hopefully the freight would remain low all the way till end of apr. (i seriously doubt it)

my co (at airport office) would be moving to the changi megaplex. it's a brand new building just behind my current block. it's much bigger, hence air import, air export, operations will all be under one roof. the warehouse would be right under us as well. hopefully i get a good seat!

yesterday.........i crumbled.............................

roamed around yesterday after work.....went to parkview sq....the building that was featured in the unbeatables 2. it's grand and has a distinct class about it. when it was being constructed at bugis, it stands out soo distinctively as the architecture is more american style. walking up the steps of it gave me the feeling of being in new york (tho i've not been there b4). the pillars which had lights shining onto the buildling kinda resembled the pillars of fire at the crown casino in melbourne. sadly, this building is only opened to members....dun hv the chance to take a look inside.

my left eyelid has been twitching for the whole day...think that must be a bad omen coz i had a terrible day at work. not trying to complain again but the job really sucks. after a few discussions with my colleagues, i discovered that some of them actually wanna resign from this co if the opportunity arises. one of them was offered a higher pay at another company and she's thinking of moving on. if i were her, i would hv taken up that offer.

the basic pay is rather low in this co and it's a known fact. moreover, the job nature is not easy to handle....stress and long working hours are a norm. my frens and colleagues hv noticed the bad outbreak i'm having on my face. stress stress......even my supervisor said that getting nightmares and wake up calls in the middle of the night due to shipment problems are very common. kena yelled at by shippers and being wrongly accused are some of the things we hv to take in our stride. i wonder long i can stand such things anymore. i really hope i dun break down one day.

it's true that i do hv nightmares of work...and it's quite often. sometimes i would wake up in the middle of the night thinking i've forgotten to do this, or has the rates been agreed, or did i instruct the operations to do that...etc. ain't a nice feeling. next morning, i would end up looking like a panda going to work as i've not gotten enough sleep the night before. this is esp so during nov and dec when the tonnage of freight is very high.

everyone tot that the freight would slow down in jan and feb...but NO! i'm still rushing like mad...except that i do get to go home early more often than last time. still, my dear dear mgmt has decided that my co shall provide 'good' service by getting some shippers' declaration letter (which other forwarders dun do), and ends up all the customer svc getting lotsa crap and shit from shippers. haiz....whatever.

just hope that the economy would be much better this yr....must bear with all the crap till august at least, then i can start looking for another job. this is getting too much for me to take...........

out shopping in town yesterday for chinese new year clothes but didn't manage to find any interesting pieces. bought only a shirt from g2000. couldn't find anything else that caught my eye. am going for a new look this cny. it's high time to do something to my horrendously boring long hair. still thinking of various ways of how to cut it or trim it or dye it or watever.....see whatever i fancy. hiak! if i really do something 'outrageous', pls dun be too alarmed. just quite sian of my current look. :D

happy new year!!!!!!!!! it's 2003 and we'll all be one year older and wiser. hiak hiak......was out yesterday at the esplanard for the countdown and to watch the 3 min fireworks. pretty disappointing. it was ultra packed at the esplanard and there was a high demand for cabs after the countdown.

two weeks notice is a very hilarious comedy with the romance part towards the end only. this is better than the usual romantic comedy where the element of romance is present throughout the whole movie. go watch it if u've not! it's guarantee to destress and provide laughter.

tml hv to drag myself to work again. sch starts for the kids tml as well. expecting a lot of s**t tml....so i better sleep early to get more energy to face the crap. cross my fingers.............
