NDP 2006 preview

just got home a while ago...went to watch the ndp 2006 preview @ the national stadium. it would be the last time the parade is held at the national stadium as it would be torn down and rebuilt into a sports hub. last min got 2 free tix to watch as my intern is helping out as an usher.

ndp consists of the usual stuff like band performance, dances and songs. the fireworks were GREAT!! perhaps i ought to try to catch it again from tanjong rhu or at some tall building on national day. the fireworks were beautiful and well choreographed.

happened to see 1 of my ex colleagues there. her fren won the tix via balloting. after the parade, my fren and i walked all the way from national stadium to marina sq for a late dinner. had some snacks at the HK cafe. finally took a bus home from the esplanade bus stop. i was quite worried that i didn't managed to catch the last bus. thankfully it came after 15mins.

a little lighter

feeling a bit more relaxed this week coz i'm finally done with my major events such as the suntec car roadshow and the CATS carnival. had a good time at the carnival, especially sitting in the evo 9 driven by rally driver Katsuhiko Taguchi. he's damn good!! soo shiok sitting in his car. he's quite a nice and friendly guy, with a rather good command of english.

next week onwards i gotta prepare for my thailand business trip. would be going with 1 of my colleagues and extending our stay for a few more days over the wkend. my first time going to thailand, hope it would be fun. looking forward to buying loads of cheap stuff back...hahaha!

1. despite my "size", i'm a very fussy eater. my frens can vouch for that.
2. i can't take food containing processed coconut (such as coconut cream / milk) but i can eat the fruit itself without "hugging" the toilet bowl.
3. during my sch days, i just couldn't put on weight no matter how much i ate. however once i got to uni, the horizontal growth was unstoppable!
4. i'm a leftie who finds it rather awkward to tap the ezlink card with my left hand.
5. during uni, i underwent a 'makeover' comprising of long dyed hair, waxed and shaped eyebrows & having 3 ear holes.
6. i underwent surgery to remove 4 wisdom teeth at 1 go. *ouch!*
