money, money, money

it's almost the end of jan. how time flies! got myself a brand new samsung E630C handphone. my nokia 8250 kept switching off automatically, so i decided it's time to get a new one. moreover samsung had a no contract promo. honestly the phone's not ultra cheap but i like it a lot. :) it comes with a vga camera and flash.

today i saw a pioneer home entertainment system which i like a lot! it's on promo @ $599. comes with 5 speakers (including a subwoofer and a wireless rear speaker). looks really cool! tot of getting it for the living room. however, after spending so much $$ on the handphone, everything else have to save. so can't anyhow spend at the moment.

tmr gonna trim my hair @ someone's home. apparently this lady cuts part time at a branded salon in tanglin mall. so i suppose her skills are good. afterall she only charges $6 so no harm going there for a try.

happy 2005! hope this yr's gonna be a really good and prosperous one for all of us.

unfortunately the boxing day tsunami disaster hit asia very badly and many lives were lost. let's pray for the recovery of the affected people and for them to have the strength to move on.

more and more pple have been deployed to work on my project, indirectly lightening our workload a little. on friday, my mgr was prealerting me of my future prospects in the company. put it this way, it seems to be bright. he told me i'll see the light at the end of the tunnel. i was taken aback when he said that coz that's the phrase i used when i resigned from my previous co. i told my ex-mgr that i couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel, that's y i had to leave. le'ts hope it's gonna be true. i'll still be looking around in the papers or online. after working for some time, i'm rather skeptical of pple out there. society has moulded my mind in this way...can't help it coz i've been backstabbed and betrayed at work.

anyway, i hope this yr will be a fruitful one for me. my syd fren is back a few days ago. she's gonna be staying for some time as she'll be looking for a job here. good luck to her as well.
