got home from my xmas eve celebration with frens. had dinner at prego followed by drinks at chijmes. festive mood was all around as places were decorated with xmas trees and people wearing xmas hats.

dinner was a rather interesting experience due to the nature of the food.....things like goose liver and cinnamon ice cream. kinda odd for my tastebuds. we sat at down chijmes and chatted till late. the pub owners gave every table some poppers which we could use at the strike of midnight. it was fun!!!

xmas is approachin! however i dun really feel the festive mood, probably coz i dun usually celebrate xmas. this yr, my office is not exchanging gifts. seems like no one is in the mood for xmas. we're supposedly getting a half day tml (till 3pm) amd i'm crossing my fingers that we can leave at 3pm.

rushing home to get ready for my 1st xmas eve dinner. normally xmas is just another day for me...this yr, i would be out eating dinner with my frens. it's sooo fun! of coz it's gonna cost a bomb too...but i guess it's kinda worth it for the ambience and mood. moreover restaurants will definitely take the chance to 'chop' pple by coming up with some set dinners at sky high prices. no i'm not complaining here....just stating the fact. i feel so happy just thinking about tml!! :D

my gateway manager drove a few of us out for lunch at terminal 2's food court. such a welcome change from the boring fare at the canteen in my block. there is quite a big variety of food over at t2 and it was cheap! i had a good time tucking into wan tan noodles and ice kacang.....yum yum!!!

one of my colleagues rushed off after work as she had to catch a flight to istanbul. lucky girl! she's going on a long hol till the beginning of next year. my manager is also on long leave till the last day of the month. envy them..... nevermind..my turn will come soon next year! :)

went to sim lim to get some leaflets for DIY computers...later i'm gonna narrow down to a few choices before going back there again to get the computer. been wanting to get a new computer for quite some time. my current one is quite old, slow and doesn't hv USB, so there're some programs which i cannot use. getting a video editing software as well..so that we can edit the videos we took using our video cam and burn them into vcds.

after the computer will come adsl. ah ha! been waiting patiently.....once i get adsl, i'll hv loads of things to d/l and do. hiak hiak...can search for my mtvs, mp3s, softwares....etcetc.....loads of stuff waiting to be uncovered!!

been able to come home early these 2 days....my dept is in full force now...everyone's back from their leave...however, one will be clearing her leave for 10 days next week. feels good to be home early...can rest.....

watched a few episodes of korean drama 'truth' just now. not bad so far...at least it's only 16 episodes...just nice. not too draggy either. stars the familiar choi ji woo and ryu shi yong. (if i didn't spell their names wrongly!) gonna try to finish the drama during this weekend.....

enjoyed myself today....went to a fren's house in sengkang. it's a new area in spore. had our cooking fiesta....everyone was so filling after the DIY meal. yum yum....:P

past week has been a whirlwind one for me....everyday's busy.....everyday's a late one for me. thankfully there's a public hol today for me to take a break. tml hv to drag myself to work again.....

went out with my jc sch mates yesterday evening..had a good time. been quite a while since i last saw some of them. it's interesting to see how we have changed over the years...thru jc, then uni and now working life. pity one of my friends couldn't join us last evening.

xmas lighting at orchard road was pretty much the same as last year's. it's all flashing lights hung across the road. nothing very fancy. i guess it's kinda low budget considering the lousy economy. however, the bad economy doesn't seem to be affecting anyone's shopping mood for xmas. people were grabbing things off shelves, piling up their shopping carts with presents and gift wraps. so envious of them. personally i do not celebrate xmas...it's just another public holiday for me. i wonder if my dept will be exchanging xmas presents. think that would be fun............
