relief yet again

had my jap final test yesterday. the questions were easier than midterm's test but cant be complacement. my classmate attended the cultural event tis afternoon and found out from our sensei that all except 1 passed the test. i'm so delighted! sigh of relief for passing. tmr just need to call up to find out the score. my classmate n i wanna change teacher so we'll be "enjoying" a long break till end of june before we start the next class.

lately been glued to my ds lite...busy playing wario and have finally completed all the stages. the reviews for the new super mario bros on ds are ultra good. contemplating if i should get it. guess i'll just have to save up to buy games. this month really very broke!

nintendo ds lite

i finally got my hands on the latest nintendo ds lite! oh yeah!! i bought the crystal white version on saturday (6th may 06) from funan centre. been contemplating for the longest time to get either a PSP or DS...thankfully i didn't buy it previously. i'm falling in love with the new DS lite. it's not officially launched in sg yet but some shops have brought the ds lite in.

so tempted to buy so many nice games at one shot but gotta control myself. the games are not cheap (ranging $40-60). i bought trauma centre - under the knife. basically it's a surgery game which makes full use of the touch screen function and the stylus for ds. fortunately the ds lite is much lighter and has a brighter screen than the ds, therefore game play is made easier if i'm not playing the game on the table.

think i'll go get another highly rated game (brain age) this weekend. just can't wait! too bad i'm playing the ds lite in secrey at home now...coz the rest of them will surely nag at me for wasting $$ on such things.

swift as the wind, quiet as a mouse

went to test drive the suzuki swift yesterday. i'm really falling in love with the car. i drove the manual version and it was fun! in cabin noise was very mininal (i believe even quieter than a toyota) and it's quite comfortable to seat 4 people. of coz boat space is crap but then again, i wont need such a big one. (wah...as if i'm really buying the car). the swift (with body kit) is retailing as $52,000. the normal swift is $50,000. the new swift sports is $59,000...this one is very chio and is a 1.6. it's modelled on a simliar platform as the old swift gti. i believe a lot of pple will rush to buy it.

ride was good and not bumpy. it has factory fitted audio which can be controlled by the steering wheel. bascially i really enjoyed the short test drive. been ages since i've been in a manual car and it truly feels good. automatic gets boring after a while.

too bad monthly bills work out to be around $1079 (car monthly instalments over 10 yrs, insurance, road tax, HDB parking and petrol), so it's way out for me. taking a cab is definitely much cheaper.

meanwhile, can only dream about the swift. hope i'll get a fat pay raise soon and perhaps move on to another co so that i can get myself a cool swift!
