NDP preview

dad won 4 tickets via balloting to the NDP preview 2005 for today. if i'm not wrong, it's the first time i've been to NDP. most of the time i watch it on telly on the actual day.

the atmosphere @ Padang was great! people's spirits weren't dampened by the shower (which fortunately stopped just before the parade started). i brought my tripod along and was thankful as the photos turned out sharp. uploaded most of them onto webshots and passed the url to some of my frens.

NDP is one of the rare few occassions where u see sporeans of all walks of life coming together to celebrate. in this case, it's the nation's birthday!! happy 40th birthday spore!

this yr, the organisers brought NDP to marina bay and into the heartlands, namely jurong east, yishun and tampines. the varions locations were linked via satellite and all the people did the spore wave. it was really fun!!

tired after sitting thru nearly 4 hrs at the padang. shall hit the bed soon. tmr hv to go office to standby due to month end. :(

tired...very tired...

this whole week has been ultra long for me. been staying back till late due to quarter end close. tiring, both mentally and physically. didn't have proper dinners. often quick meals of cup noodles.

this wkend is burnt in the office as well. sibeh sianzzz!!! tmr bringing a novel to read in the office. there're not many orders but we've to be on standby coz those crazy retarded Hopeless Pricks will call up and spot check. irritating fools!!

will be going to NDP preview tmr @ the padang. dad managed to win the tickets in a ballot via sms. NICE. shall pack my camera and stand along. hopefully can get nice photos, or at least sharp ones. hahaha

there's a new coffee machine from nescafe available in my pantry. so far business has been good. haha...just bring ur own cup and select the beverage you want by pressing the numbered buttons. viola, ur drink is piping hot! well at least that's a boost to staff welfare.

anyway, time for my shower liao.

fulfilling Sunday morning

woke up before 9am (that's early by my standards). actually the reason why i'm up early was becoz of a bad dream. i dreamt that i was put thru some jap translation test and i failed miserable coz a lot of things i dunno. then my silly samsung phone was beeping for low batt. forgotten to switch it to silent mode yesterday before i slept. ended up waking before 9am.

attended my fren's wedding ceremony @ rasa sentosa yesterday. she looked gorgeous! a happy bride. happy for her to find her other half who compliments her. :) hope they can lead a life of everlasting happiness and joy together.

this morning, after waking up, i went to the market with my mum. quite a scene at the wet mkt (considering it has been ages since i last stepped into one coz i can never wake up early). store owners haggling with customers over prices, the smell of the raw meat and the crowd of aunties swamming the wet mkt make quite an interesting photo opportunity. too bad i din bring my digi cam along.

there was a malay old lady who happily stepped on my toes (was wearing sports sandals) w/o appologising and walked off. yucky!! my toes were black from the dirty water on the floor. sickening...

later we went to taman jurong for breakfast. mum wanted to eat yong tau fu and it's supposedly famous there. after hunting for a parking lot and walking a distance to the food centre, we discovered the stall is closed. *pengs* we walked all the way back again and went to imm instead.

had a delicious and filling long john silver's breakfast. their breakfast beats maccers anytime hands down! it's also cheaper. went watsons to grab my toiletries. chanced upon a nice sling bag, wanted to get it on impulse but decided against it. it's $19.90. saw a nice sports top from bossini @ $13 after discount, but also stopped myself from buying. somehow or other, i felt i've been spending quite a bit this month so need to practise some self control.

shall pop by bugis later on to sign up for the face shop membership. having no classes on sunday makes me feel so relaxed. :)

92/100

got a score of 92!! at elast i managed to get above 90! heehee..tho i'm not among the highest in class, i'm satisfied with my score. heehee...soo happy! btw, i sneaked a peek at my marks while the teacher was off to get something from the main office. that's how i got to know my score. he was marking the papers for those who completed the test earlier. we were all waiting outside, hving a discussion on the next class we would take and if we're going for the sch's 20th anniversary dinner. hahahaha...

can finally get hooked on my gameboy, read my novels and watch anime! no homework is soo fun!!

it's THE day...

slightly less than 1.5hrs to go before my class. sensee will start with revision first before proceeding with the test. hope i dun get a nervous breakdown.

twisted

i'm hooked onto the latest nintendo GBA's game - Wario Twisted. It contains 200+ mini games and souvenirs to collect. very fun with a twist of coz. instead of the usual cursor pad, this game comes with a gyro sensor which detects the left right motion of the GBA.

it's really addictive and you would be glued onto it in order to complete each stage, so that u can unlock new ones. the only ways of controlling the games are by spinning the GBA around and pressing the A button. the rest of the buttons are redundant.

it's worth buying it. i bought mine from sim lim @ $55 (original US version). go buy it and enjoy mini games with a twist!
