feeling HOT HOT HOT!!

the weather has been a killer lately. it's ultra humid and HOT!!! i can feel beads of perspiration rolling down my neck shortly after i stepped out of my shower. my hair is sticking to my neck and i feel so easily irritable.

some inconsiderate jokers in the office are leaving the aircon off coz they feel cold. HELLO, if you feel cold you can put on more clothes. If you feel hot, can't expect the person to take off clothes right? really no common sense and extremely selfish!! the partitions in the office are too high, therefore pple in my cluster are rather warm even tho the rest of the room may be just cooling.

going out during lunch time can be rather torturous. i can hardly open my eyes (wven with shades) as the sun bears its rays down to earth. wonder where this heat wave come from. it's MADNESS!!!!! can't imagine next motnh's electricity bill. will prob shoot sky high. :(

Good as Gold

RVCB won a gold in this yr's SYF. been ages since i last attended a band concert. missed those school days where a whole bunch of us would go for a concert. try to book seats across and yell 'encore' once the last song ends. then all of us would go to the nearby city hall burger king for supper. (concerts were normally held at victoria concert hall)

Those were the days.............(feeling nostalgic)

Klarinutz Rulez!

went to do a silly test called "which instrument is right for you" and i got the clarinet! oh yeah!! this shows i'm fated to play the wonderful black single reed instrument which has a big range of tones. i like the low mellow tones and the high playful tones of the clarinet. the running notes, the metallic keys, and stylish black body and woody reed. it's very versatile and can be used in bands and orchestra. it's also used in jazz music. not a very easy instrument to master and reeded instruments tend to 'squeak'.

spent 6 yrs of my life playing the clarinet. too bad i didn't have a chance to continue playing the clarinet in my uni days. it was actually by sheer coincidence i landed up in band in sec sch as my first choice was actually NPCC. my mum encouraged me to join the band as i was learning the piano at that time. true enough, i didn't regret my decision and enjoyed myself a lot during my 6 yrs. made a lot of frens, went thru a lot of happy and bad times, and most of all, had chances to perform on stage. :)

A praise or Appraise?

Had my appraisal this evening with my manager. quite surprised at some of the good comments i got from my external customers (tho he didnt elaborate in detail). afterall some of them do blast at me sometimes, so quite pleased they gave good reviews. overall fared quite well. just hope that my big boss thinks the same way as my manager.

these few days been sleeping quite late. either i'm at work or out having dinner with friends. the nicest part is that i've been in a good mood so far (and i hope it will last!). heehee...post birthday good mood. :)

been blasting britney spear's latest album (greatest hits) in the car for the past few days. the bass rhythm is GRREEAAT! too bad i dun hv a sub woofer in the car, else i think the effect would be much much better. before u mistaken me as an ah lian, i just enjoy a nice strong bass along with the music (not techno). songs like jamiroquai's little L, madison ave's don't call me baby and george michael's amazing are just some of the tunes with nice bass beats. very catchy.

It's PARTY time!

had a great party on friday night @ newsroom bar with all my friends! my sec sch frens, jc frens, uni frens and colleagues were all there. drank till i was quite high but thankfully i woke up with nothing but a slight headache the next morning. (actually i didn't really sleep well). hahaha...but it's pure fun in celebration of my 2X yrs of existence on planet earth.

sat had korean bbq & steamboat buffet lunch with my family before meeting up with some excolleagues in the afternoon for tea. bought lotsa stuff (including the latest launch Ralph Lauren Style perfume) and burnt such a big hole in my pocket. walked all over clarke and boat quay in the evening before settling at coffee club for dinner with my fren.

basically it had a been a really GREAT weekend for me and i'm feeling so refreshed after such a tough week at work. :)
