turns out that the girl overslept (or so she claims). well at least she looks quite ok today, except for being a bit wild and talking like a gangster.

i'm very happy today coz i bought the original music score of my fave singer sun yan zi!!! heehee.... however, the score is quite difficult and needs some practice. some more i've not touched the piano for at least 2 years eversince i went overseas to study. luckily i could figure out the notes and rhythm. her song "my desired happiness" is very tough indeed, with 4 flats and weird rhythms. phew!! really admire her skills of playing that song, singing and still smiling so happily for that song. applause!

one of my class girls had to visit the school counsellor yesterday. i'm quite curious to find out about the result. she was refered by the previous teacher. apparently her dad is a drug trafficker who is now in remand. she saw how her dad took drugs, and the after effects of drugs...and she was quite tramatised by the whole situation. heard from the teacher in charge of pastoral care this morning that that girl broke down when the school counsellor mentioned about her father. it happens that she's absent today so it kinda captures my attention. i hope she's absent coz she's not feeling well...and not coz she doesn't feel good after toking to that counsellor.

it's a bloody tiring day for me.....y? coz i had to sit thru a 3hour+ meeting in school. moreover i had to do morning gate duty at 7am .........so basically my day stretches from 7am to 4.30pm. how damn bloody tiring...considering i'm only a relief teacher. of coz, i am now "greatly appreciated" if i were to help them do some stuff (which i shall not list). fine loh....winner liao.

nevermind, that aside....coming home at around 5pm, i was oredi half asleep. i was yawning and yawning, so i fell asleep on the sofa. i still had to face a bad time at home. not a very good day for me indeed. i'm gonna sleep early...need my rest. need more energy. so fed up now........

'school teacher' is a very touching drama....i had to contain my tears as i watched the final episode. perhaps it's becoz i'm a relief teacher and that the main character is also a relief teacher, i feel more for the character. the children in the drama are simply adorable, each with their own distinct personalities. i like my current class too...they're generally cute and quite mild, as compared to the devilish p4 class i had in the first half year. this drama really touched my heart... ...

halfway thru my jap drama 'school teacher'. it's not bad...esp since i'm a primary school teacher now, it's kinda fun to see new and innovative ways of gaining the students' trust and respect. of coz, the scenarios in the drama are rather unrealistic to achieve in reality at times. anyway, the show's not too bad.

went to the jurong east pasar malam on my way to grandma's house. nothing much there. was browsing at a handphone accessories store and was tempted to change my phone cover to a total black one. looks really cool....after trying it out, i realised that the buttons cannot be pressed properly. the sales person insisted it has something to do with my keypad. i told her my original keypad with my current mashimaro phone cover works perfectly fine. she was just setting up stall and the crowd was gathering around her, so she asked me to look for her husband to solve the problem. the husband couldn't do anything much as well, so i took my old cover back and left the shop. good also lar, i saved $4. managed to stop my itchy hands from changing a new phone cover.

however, i spent the $4 on a arale jap manga vcd. i finally found one that's in jap with chinese subtitles. in case u dunno who's arale, she's the girl featured in the cartoon series Dr. slump and she also appears on the journal page. that's the cute robot doll who is the main star of the dr slump (aka iq professor) series. i also bought myself a $2 blue hawaiian slipper from the 1.99 shop. looks pretty cool with my outfit today....i wore an op tee, fila bermudas with the blue haiwaiian printed slippers and my orange reebok waist pouch. :) feels as if i'm going to the beach.

it's finally friday!!!!!!!! i left school quite early as i needed to go jurong point to run some errands. i lugged my library books and dumped them into the book drop. too bad i couldn't find any other interesting books to borrow. my stomach was growling so i went for lunch at the foodcourt upstairs. altho it was 2.30pm+, it was still rather crowded at the food court. all seats were occupied by people. i had to share a seat with a woman in her 30s. i was halfway thru my meal when she started chatting with me. turns out she's an insurance agent. haiz...here goes (i told myself). could tell she was trying to find out more about my background to see if she could get me as a potential customer.

i faked some of my details....i mean, why should i tell a stranger the truth? remember our parents used to tell us when we were young that we should not talk to strangers. hahaha....anyway, i chatted with her a while and left. she gave me her name card and wanted my contact number but i refused. guess it's really a coincidence to sit at the same table with an insurance agent...it's like business going to her doorstep.

my itchy hands couldn't stop myself from buying some really cheap jap drama vcds. it was on SALE! only $6 each at TS video....makes me feel so cheated when i bought my jap dramas at 3 for $30 from poh kim vcd shop. haiz.............. must control myself or i'll never have the money to buy my new computer and subscribe to adsl.

wanted to post an entry at school but the server seemed to be very slow..perhaps coz the school computers are using moe intranet. had a very tiring day..came home and slept from 4pm+ to 7pm+. a very long nap indeed. been waking up very early for the past two days coz i had to do morning duty. today's morning duty was added onto my list and i was informed of the change yesterday. it's gonna be very busy in the upcoming weeks. there're lots of things to do. have to print worksheets for the kids, find 10 pieces of art for exhibition, decorate the classroom...etc. this is partly coz of the handing over ceremony on 2nd august. there would be a minister coming to officiate the ceremony.

was marking the kids' written expression books last nite till late. reading their compos can make a person vomit blood, but it's like that at their age. they have lots of grammatical and spelling errors. most of them cannot form proper sentences as well. phew, used up a whole lot of red ink trying to correct their work. it seems like i'm writing the compo for them instead.

jap drama office woman part 1 is hilarious!! i just finished watching part 1 on vcd...now i can follow up part 2 which is currently showing on tv. i still have another 4 sets of jap dramas to go...hiak hiak...can occupy me for a long long time! so shiok eh....the next one i would be watching is "school teacher". it's not shown on tv yet.....hopefully it's something funny too.

a job agency called up.....too bad it's for a temp job, not a perm one. haiz...my hopes are dashed. there's another young female relief teacher in school today. she's also looking for a job....can tell she's not keen on teaching. she cannot really control the class (her clas sis next to mine) but i don't blame her. afterall, she's new and that class does have a few naughty ones.

i'm beginning to like my class a lot. it's the first class which i take a liking to so quickly. they're cute and generally not too naughty. their personalities ranges from the nerdy ones, to smart ass types and creative ones. too bad i don't have a chance to chat with anyone of them yet. or perhaps they don't like to talk to me as i can be quite mean with them.

another tiring day in school.....i'm feeling very sleepy now. finished my shower and watching an episode of 'office women part1' on vcd. quite a funny show. tomorrow morning hv to get to school early for morning exercise. tonight hv to start planning for the intraclass games for the primary 1 kids on national day. that's their activity for the day. luckily it can be a simple game with a few equipment so i don't really have to crack my head over it.

managed to catch sun yanzi's mtv of this year's national day song....errr....i forget the title liao. hiakz....was too busy admiring her mtv to notice wat she was singing actually.nevermind, i'll have the chance to learn the lyrics when the kids in school sing it during national day. i also saw the short clip of the national day fun dance on tv performed by mediacorp artistes. the last part of the dance is not easy and many teachers fumbled too. have to learn the steps by heart and teach the kids before the actual day.

woke up very early this morning as i had morning gate duty. i have to ensure the kids cross the road safely at the zebra crossing outside school. there are two road crossing monitors (children) who are there as well. traffic is very heavy in the morning so i've to be alert.

the drama actress in my class is as sickening as ever. think she hates me...but i dun care. i made her copy half a passage from her english textbook today as she was happily speaking chinese in class even after several warnings. too bad for her! she's an ultra attention seeker and i just cannot stand such people.

borrowed a book about the making of the movie "pearl harbour". there were many pictures of the scenes from the movie, as well as background information and archived photos from historical records. images of the movie flashed back into my mind......the movie was very disturbing yet touching. the love story was heart breaking as the three main leads were thrown into a whirlwind during the war. it's heartbreaking to learn about the cruel facts of the war and the number of people that were killed. according to quotes from the book, the survivors were pleased that such a movie was made. altho it might not be very accurate, the production crew tried their best renact certain scenes with the help of historical records and accounts from survivors. i applaude the efforts of everyone involved in the production of the movie.

time flies...been almost a week since i last written an entry. it's partly due to the reason that i've started teaching again in the past week. this time around, i'm taking a primary 3 class. the stress level is much lower as p3 is not an important year. the class is quite lovable and i hope they would be good till the end of the year. i'm taking them for most of the subjects except music and mother tongue so they see me very often. there's a drama queen in class who simply loves seeking attention. for such kids, i ignore. it gets irritating if she does it so often. too bad, i'm a girl and the previous teacher was a guy...so she cannot sha jiao to me. hiak...

finished watching my jap drama vcd 'food fight' this afternoon. the ending is so sad.... but the various types of food they used in the competitions really wets my appetite! yummmm!!!!!! now i'm going to watch another set of jap drama vcd "office woman part1". it was shown on tv previously but i didn't managed to catch it. haiz...i'm so tempted to go out and get some more vcds to watch but i know it's only a waste of money.
