resignation!

dun worry, not me...it's the asst mkt mgr in my dept. the one whom i commented i had a little trouble working with but mostly due to her unique personality, rather than her work attitude. well, guess it's not sudden for her to resign. she has been going around telling everyone about it. it's only a matter of time.

glad she has made the decision to move. not becoz i can't stand her...but since she's so unhappy working in my company (she has been telling pple she wanna resign since a few yrs back), she might as well leave. no point staying and pulling a long face everyday at work. happy for her if she can mix well in the new environment and excel in the new place.

guess my mgr is ultra stressed now. it's quite a peak period for us and there're various projects going on. 1 colleague commented that it's the best time for me to show my capabilities and i may even be promoted sooner than i tot, as long as i do well. it's an opportunity for me to grab. well, i've just been confirmed after my 6 months probation and wont dare to harbour such tots. i'm not a very ambitious person. moreover, i've got a long way to go in terms of marketing.

anyway, lets see if my mgr mentions anything abt the resignation tmr. i foresee long long nights ahead.

good feeling

had a nice evening yesterday chatting with my long time sec sch fren. we had dinner at tiong bahru plaza and later went to her new place to chill out. we talked about our jobs, about her upcoming wedding, her recent trip to phuket, etc... it was so fun and relaxing. enjoyed myself greatly. good to catch up with frens like that. :)

wat a relief!

had my jap final test a few hours ago. m relieved it's finally over. i just cross my fingers and hope that i can pass the test. i dun like the time slot for int2 class. still comtemplating if i should continue right away. reason being, the next few months are gonna be crazy for me with tons of projects coming up.

anyway, shall take my mind off jap for a while. earlier on while browsing thru books at kinokuniya, i realised i've not been reading for some time. wanted to pick up a self help book to read...but couldn't find any suitable ones. prob shall search in the library first before deciding if i ought to spend the $$ to buy one.

had a good trip to genting. somehow or other, time seemed to whizz by even tho i dun seem to be doing much. spent some time in the casino and surprisingly i either breakeven or made a tiny bit of profit. hahaa! prob coz i'm a non believer in jackpot machines, prefering to place my bets on 'big small'. however, my 2 frens are jackpot addicts. i got hooked onto 1 of the jackpot machines and made a tiny sum from there. guess i was lucky. heehee

as expected, a whole pile of things was waiting for me when i got back to office today. i had my 2nd round of confirmation appraisal this late pm. my gm gave me rather good remarks. could tell my mgr wanted to comment but she kept it all to herself. really hv to be more wary of her. she's someone really hard to read and u dunno wat's going on in her mind. such pple are dangerous.

anyway, based on my GM's remarks, i scored quite well and he set various targets for me. i'm also various responsibilities, which if i managed to juggle everything, i would hv a high chance of being promoted to assistant mgr when the yr end comes. i'm working towards that goal! (not becoz i want the title, but i'm more interested in the pay raise) hahahahahahaa....wish me loads of good luck!

counting down...

in less than 24hrs later, i would be on the coach, on my way to genting highlands. the feeling is great!! i long for a break and to go out with my bunch of colleagues whom i've grown closer over my 6months at work. Thank God for blessing me with such nice colleagues to depend on.

pure purple

went down to seiyu bugis to catch the launch of the new perfume by hugo boss called pure purple. somehow or other, i've became a fan of hugo boss and polo ralph's perfumes. even w/o smelling it, i've more or less set my heart on buying it. since it's newly launched, there're bound to be various freebies with purchase.

there were 2 girls hired to dance around the pure purple launch area which was situated inside seiyu, near swatch counter. think the motto of pure purple is for girls to express themselves freely via dance, anytime anywhere.

i bought the 90ML bottle which cost me $107 (RRP $117) and it came with 2 free samples, 1 fragrance roll on stick and 1 body lotion. all these were nicely packed into a pure purple plastic carrier. very style!

so in my wardrobe now sits 7 bottles of perfume, of which 2 are still unopened. i'm such a perfume addict. i wanted to buy some more, but held myself back else i would be broke again. perhaps someone would like to get a perfume for me for my bday? heehee

going on a short trip!

soo happy! my advance leave is approved by my GM. i'll be going to genting for 3D2N with 2 of my colleagues. i'm sooo sooo looking fwd to a short break. need to destress and chill out a while. i find genting's a bit boring but who cares!!! i'm going there to chill in the cool mountain air. go there idle also shiok. as long as it's not about work! ahahahahahahahahaa
