in memory of Richard Burns

Richard Burns...the 2001 FIA World Rally Champion, one of my fave rally drivers...passed away on 25th November 05. He was only 33.

I noticed Richard Burns when he was with Mitsubishi. He had such determination and vigour. His track records in WRC were outstanding, often missing by a bit to get to the top. I'm sure everyone who follows his career misses him a lot.

aching legs

been standing for almost the whole day during the exhibition @ sg expo. it's called 'big boyz toyz in conjuction with asian auto saloon'. i must say it's damn ultra super duper rojak exhibition which is totally not worth the $10 admission fee. sitex next door is free admission and it's packed to the brim unlike my side.

fortunately sales today was quite good. it could have been better if only we were well stocked. too bad most of the polo tees from thailand were out of stock and we had to turn away many customers due to the lack of sizes.

snapped a few photos here and there. posed with jackie chan's special edition evo 9. had quite a fun time coz it's hands on experience regarding sales. when i sat in the train, i could feel my legs collapsing. luckily there were seats.

met up with hpy for a drink. been ages since i last had a drink and stayed out soo late. the past few weeks were just work work work. of coz i'm not complaining about the work, just feel that i need to get my social life in tact. (as if i got such a "happening" social life).

it's getting pretty late, shall blog another time. good nitezzz

stairway to heaven

one of my pet mice...white...has departed for the heavens on 18th nov 05. i'm not sure how he died. the day before 18th, i notice he was lying in a corner. however, i didn't pay much attn since the mice like to snuggle in a corner to sleep at times. the next day, near midnight, i realised there were a lot of small flies in the tank.

to my horror, white had died. my heart skippped a beat. amazingly enough, i didn't cry. felt upset...but i guess that's part of life. also, i know the lifespan of mice is around 2+yrs only. i quickly disposed of the body by cleaning out the whole tank.

i wonder how the other mouse, patch, feels now. must be really lonely. no one to fight with, no one to clean each other with, no one to play with. patch is my fave among the 2. i really hope he pulls thru. trying to acoy him more nowadays but he's the more coward one. alwiz running away from him since day one. perhaps my training methods are not good. anyway, hope patch will last for long.

am i suitable for this job?

down with flu...it all started on friday. had a terrible sore throat. turned out to be some serious throat infection. had pus along the throat lining. on sat, throat was slightly better, could talk and eat. think i didn't rest enough...sun and monday it all came out. cough, cold, etcetc.

wonder if it's due to stress at work. am i suitable for this job? 2nd time fallen ill since working there for 5 weeks. doesn't seem like a good sign. besides the hectic work schedule, i've to deal with "small people" (translate to chinese). haiz..as if i dun hv enough worries at work.

anyway, gotta look thru the catalogue draft as i'll be going for an offsite meeting at M hotel tomorrow. one day wasted ...

lost

suddenly i feel a bit lost in my new job. perhaps it's the "talk" my asst mgr gave me that made me relook at the whole ralliart thingy in a different light. all along i was a follower, a follower of processes. now i've to be the one who sets the processes and get pple to follow them. think i'm too much of a softie.

road show coming up

it has been a pretty short week at work due to 2 public hols in the middle. perhaps that's also y my AM's mood isnt very good. coz she has to arrange for a roadshow this coming week and a short week means tight deadlines. well, she has requested for me to appear at 7.30am on monday morning @ suntec. damn bloody early! no choice coz i gotta learn the logistics of moving things in for roadshows. her email wasn't very pleasant sounding and there was a rather ridiculous thing mentioned. i take it that it's due to her PMS that she's hving an ultra bad mood, which resulted in charcoal black face and that ridiculous email.

bought 2 out of 3 xmas presents i'm supposed to get for this yr. rather get them early instead of last min. at least i dun hv to think abt it. hahahaha... damn kiasu? nope, it's plain forgetful. hahaha

bought a ralliart handphone strap for my phone. hiak hiak. it's imported from japan. hopefully the wordings wont drop off easily. it's silver words on a carbon printed strap. looks pretty cool :)
